Free Instructional Meetings This Week

The following meetings will be held this week and every week here in Denver, Colorado. They are intended to be models for anyone who wants to start similar meetings at other times and places. They are personally led by John S. Wren.

Tuesday, 7 p.m. Socrates Cafe, Trinity Church, 18th & Broadway.

Friday, 2 p.m., IDEA Cafe 90-Minute Startup Weekend. We Work Union Station.

Friday, 4:30 p.m., Caucus Club Panera Bread, 16th Street Mall and Market Street.

Saturday, 6:30 p.m. Socrates Cafe, University of Denver

Our mission and purpose:

The mission of your new, free Small Business Chamber of Commerce (no dues or fees for membership, we intend to be self-supporting through fully disclosed voluntary contributions so the help we provide is available to everyone) is to strengthen the voice of the grassroots in business and politics.

We cooperate with local chambers and other groups to organize low cost/ no cost IDEA Startup Workshops, Franklin Circles (Peer Advisory Groups), and Root & Branch Recovery Faith Sharing Groups.

Our purpose is to do Good Work and to help others do Good Work, too. ✓ Make sure all participants have set up a Google account, with a Google+ profile, and have uploaded a profile photo. ✓ Make sure all participants have added you to their Circles, and you have added them. ✓ Make sure your participants who aren’t using the Chrome browser download and install the Hangouts plugin before the broadcast. ✓ Microphone quality is also important for voice clarity -- if they’re using the default microphone on an old computer, they may need to upgrade and use an external microphone instead. ✓ The biggest distraction in a Hangout On Air is background noise and feedback.
