Why Socrates Cafe?

Socrates Cafes are free, open dialogues. Usually, the topic is chosen at the start of each session, and the purpose is not to debate or reach an agreement, but to explore together what we think about various general principles or concepts that can be explored through dialogue.

Those of us who attend regularly find the dialogue sharpens our listening and speaking skills, and is very valuable in improving our critical thinking ability. It is very casual, and everyone is very welcome.
